OUR PROCESS

Building with banksia building is a flexible process tailored to meet your needs with an enthusiastic team to guide you through each step of building your new home from start to finish. We aim to make this process hassle free and enjoyable!

Step 1

Lodge plans to Council or Private Certifier

  • This will usually be within one week of lodging plans

  • While we wait for DA Approval on plans, why not begin selecting colours, tiles, carpets, flooring, etc

Step 2

Make selections of colours, PC items, kitchens, etc

  • Do it yourself or let Banksia Building work with you to help make selections

  • If you would like to do it yourself, Banksia Building will give you forms to fill out and guidelines to follow and suppliers to use

  • Banksia Build can spend the day with you making selections of your choice and within budget

  • Don’t be alarmed by the abundance of decisions that need to be made. It's important to spend the time to consider your decisions

Step 3

Commence Building!

  • We can start within two weeks of approval
    (weather permitting)

  • Now it's time to enjoy watching your home take shape and become a reality

Step 4

Regular Contact is maintained

  • Our foreman will meet you on site when needed at critical stages of the project or whenever you have a question or concerns

  • Banksia Building will provide full Project Management

  • We're in this build together, so it's important we chat regular to ensure all expectations are being met, on time and on budget!

Step 5

Home Complete. Meet on site for handover of keys

  • The most exciting day - handover of keys!

  • We will meet you on site for a thorough walk through of the completed project.

  • At this stage, we would love to capture professional photography of the house, once written approval is given

Step 6

3 Month defects liability period

  • We will call you about three months after you move in to discuss any defects

  • Any agreed defects will be managed and fixed within an agreed time frame
