BUILDING WITH BANKSIA BUILDING IS A FLEXIBLE PROCESS TAILORED TO MEET YOUR NEEDS WITH AN ENTHUSIASTIC TEAM TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH EACH STEP OF BUILDING or renovating your new commercial office space or retail store FROM START TO FINISH. WE AIM TO MAKE THIS PROCESS HASSLE FREE AND ENJOYABLE!

Step 1

Idea to undertake a commerical fitout

  • So, you’ve decided now is the time to update your office or retail space

  • Have you considered what you’re needs are? Open space office, meeting rooms, boardrooms, lunch rooms. Retail space, storage solutions, Cafes, etc

  • Do you have a style in mind for your new commercial project?

  • Have you set a budget and timeline?

We understand time is money and our team are here to help you navigate through the process to deliver a project on time and on budget.

Step 2

Draw up the plans

  • Do you already have plans ready to go from an architect?

  • Do you need someone to draw you plans for you?

Either way we can assist in getting your plans drawn,whether it through our in house drawing service with Mick or we can outsource the drawing of plans to a drafts person if needed. Investing time in getting the plan right is essential and our team is experienced and ready to help you.

Step 3

Work out the specifications / inclusions

  • Have you got a style in mind?

  • Have you considered energy efficiencies, lighting levels  and soundproofing?

  • Have you considered the office ergonomics

  • Do you need us to take care of the office furniture or Shop fittings?

There is a lot to consider when designing your commercial project and we are here to help customise your specifications and finishes to meet your style, branding, use of space and budget, all while keeping your timeline top of mind.

In our many years of being in business we have formed great partnerships with many suppliers that allow us to find the styles and products that work for your commercial project.

Step 4

Build quote

  • We need to consider all inclusions and exclusions

  • Have you been quoted what you have asked for?

  • Are all of the essential components included?

We are passionate about providing a detailed, tailored quote for your commercial project. Our quotes are honest and provide clear details on what is included and what is not included. We understand that through this process, sometimes your quote is higher than your budget, but we are able to work together to identify priorities and areas of cost savings to help get your project off the ground.

Step 5

Sign Contracts and Approval applications

  • We use an industry recognised Master Builders Association Commercial Buildings BC3 Contract

  • Michael Banks is the Director and holds the Builders Licence

  • Banksia Building has been trading since 2002

We will arrange a time to go through the contracts and take care of the approval applications process for you. We are proud that Mick has obtained his builders licence by completing his apprenticeship and clerk of works, and we are committed to the replenishment industry by employing our own team of carpenters, including apprentices to ensure our workmanship is of a high standard.

Step 6

Selections and commence construction

  • Working together with our partnership of suppliers and sub-contractors, we will bring the finishing touches together to customise your new commercial fit-outs to your needs, style and budget

  • Together our Manager Ben Barrett and our Foreman Chris Holmes will have regular contact with you keeping you up to date with the progress of the works.

Our team here at Banksia Building are highly experienced and we aim to exceed our client’s expectations. We know that your time is valuable and we are here to take care of all your project management needs. Our team, consisting of Mick (Builder), Manager, site Foreman, and a band of experienced carpenters are here to take care of your project, from start to completion handover.

Each one of our projects are custom and unique and together with our Suppliers and subcontractors we are passionate about producing a finished project that we are proud of, in the timeline provided.

Step 7

Completion and handover

On completion of your commercial project, we will meet you on site, show you all the elements of your new project
