ORANGE City Council has been forced to clarify the cost of taking building waste to landfill after Orange tradesmen raised concerns about the possibility of more expensive fees to be introduced from July 1. Currently, builders pay a fee of $87.55 per tonne to dispose of waste at Ophir Road’s Resource Recovery Centre...
ORANGE builder, business owner and board member Michael Banks said he chose not to go to university and it was the best decision he ever made. Mr Banks finished year 12 in 1993 and had planned to study civil engineering at university but then thought “bugger that”. He enrolled in a pre-apprenticeship course and scored an apprenticeship a few months later, and became a builder.
I built my first home with Banksia Building. It could have been an overwhelming experience, but the team made everything easy and stress-free. Their personal approach meant I ended up with exactly the house I wanted. I particularly enjoyed the selection process which enabled me to make my own decisions and get help when I needed it. This ensured that I built a home which was customised to my taste but would also be attractive to a resale market. I am so happy with the result and would definitely build with them again.
We highly recommend the team at Banksia Building. They are efficient, clear communicators and are incredibly easy to work with. They understood our vision to create a unique work environment and assisted with the renovation and upgrade to the old Dudley Private Hospital. With their help, we were able to make this building our own while keeping the charm of the original art-deco building.
